From complete beginner to advanced rider we’ve got you covered

At DSK Motorcycle Training, we offer a full range of courses to support you at every stage of your riding journey from your first time on a bike through to advanced rider development.

Whether you’re just starting out or looking to build on your skills, our friendly, experienced instructors are here to help you progress with confidence.

CBT 

(Compulsory Basic Training)

Your first step into motorcycling.

CBT is a legal requirement before riding on the road. It covers the basics of bike control, road safety, and essential riding skills.

  • No experience needed

  • Ride up to 125cc with L plates

  • Valid for 2 years

Designed for complete beginners or those returning to riding

Module 1 

Module 1 tests your control and handling skills in a safe, off-road environment.

You’ll practise manoeuvres such as:

  • Slalom and figure of eight

  • U-turns and slow control

  • Emergency stop and hazard avoidance

We train in real test conditions to build confidence and familiarity.

Module 2

Module 2 is your on-road riding test, where you’ll demonstrate safe, confident riding in real traffic.

  • Road positioning and awareness

  • Independent riding

  • Decision-making and observation

Pass Module 1 + Module 2 = Full licence

DAS

(direct Access Scheme)

The quickest route to a full, unrestricted motorcycle licence (Category A).

Typically completed over 4 days, including training and tests.

  • Train on larger bikes

  • Ideal for riders aged 24+

  • Includes Module 1 & Module 2

ERS
 
(Enhanced Rider Scheme)

A short, flexible course designed to improve your riding after passing your test.

  • Personalised coaching

  • Focus on real-world riding

  • Improve confidence and control

 

Great for newer riders or those returning after a break

Advanced Rider Course

A structured 6-month development programme for riders who want to reach a higher standard.

  • 2 sessions per month

  • Includes RoSPA membership

  • Work towards advanced riding standards

 

Ideal for riders serious about long-term improvement
