Get your full motorcycle licence with structured, intensive training
The Direct Access Scheme (DAS) is the most direct route to gaining a full motorcycle licence, allowing you to ride larger bikes and progress quickly with focused, professional training.
Who Can Take DAS?
Your route depends on your age and current licence:

Age 17–18
You can ride up to a 125cc on a Category A1 licence after completing CBT and tests -
Age 19–23 (No previous licence)
You’ll need to start on a Category A2 licence (restricted to 35kW) -
Age 21–23 (Progressive Access)
If you’ve held an A2 licence for at least 2 years, you can upgrade to a full Category A licence -
Age 24+
Train via DAS to gain a full Category A licence (unrestricted – ride any size motorcycle)

Course Structure

Our DAS course is typically completed over 4 days, including your tests:

Day 1–3: Intensive on-road training and skill development

Day 4: Test day – Module 1 & Module 2

We make sure you’re fully prepared, confident, and riding to test standard before your exams.
Module 1 & 2 Explained
To gain your full licence, you’ll complete two practical tests:
Module 1 (Off-road test)

Slow-speed control and manoeuvres
-
U-turn, slalom, figure of eight
-
Emergency stop and hazard avoidance
Module 2 (On-road test)

Real road riding with an examiner
-
Independent riding and navigation
-
Assessment of awareness, positioning, and decision-making
Full preparation and mock test practice are included.
